Sober Living Homes are structured, substance-free recovery homes created to support single men, single women, or women with children. We provide a safe, stable, and family-friendly environment where parents in recovery can heal, rebuild, and move forward, while nurturing a secure, supportive space for their children.
Founded by Dr. La Vera C. Brown, a licensed mental health professional and seasoned real estate investor, Sober Living Homes reflects decades of experience in trauma-informed care, crisis response, and ethical housing solutions. Dr. Brown’s leadership is rooted in advocacy for underserved communities and a deep understanding of families’ emotional and financial challenges during significant life transitions.
Residents participate in daily routines, house meetings, and peer support while benefiting from access to vital community resources. The home is especially well-suited for individuals transitioning from treatment centers, domestic violence shelters, homeless programs, child welfare systems, hospitals, reentry programs, and behavioral health services. We collaborate closely with service providers who need trusted, stable housing options for clients navigating recovery and family reunification.
We welcome your referrals if you are a case manager, shelter coordinator, hospital discharge planner, treatment provider, or community advocate.
